Founder-led strategy
SEO services for Kuala Lumpur companies
Revenue-tied SEO
Campaigns built against a revenue target rather than a keyword list. For KL companies this usually means separating the searches that produce enquiries from the ones that produce traffic, which are rarely the same in a market this saturated with agency content.
Technical SEO audits
Every engagement opens with the AI SEO Readiness Audit, a 47-checkpoint technical review covering crawlability, rendering, schema, and whether AI crawlers can reach your content at all.
AI SEO
Getting your pages into AI Overviews and AI Mode answers for the queries your buyers actually run.
Generative engine optimisation
Getting your brand named in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. In our own testing across Malaysian commercial categories, the brands that get named are not reliably the brands ranking first in organic results, which means this is a separate job rather than a side effect of ranking well.
SEO migration
Rebuilds, replatforming, and domain moves without losing the traffic you already have.
We work in English and Bahasa Melayu. We do not sell guaranteed rankings.

What Malaysia's Leading Brands Achieved With Mackyclyde
Before we explain what we do, here is what our clients have actually seen.

143% increase in organic traffic over 6 months. Mackyclyde rebuilt city landing pages, resolved Core Web Vitals failures suppressing crawl priority, and overhauled the internal linking architecture. The result was faster time-to-rank on high-intent local queries and a measurable increase in booking-stage organic sessions.

466% organic visibility growth over 2 years. On-page restructure and intent-matched content production delivered qualified lead growth from organic, not just impressions.

Kuala Lumpur has more SEO agencies per company than anywhere else in Malaysia, and the pitch is close to identical across them. Rankings, traffic, and a monthly report. The problem with that pitch is that it is unfalsifiable in the first six months, which is exactly the window in which you are paying.
Four things worth asking any KL agency before you sign, ours included.
What happens in month one. If the answer is content production, the agency has skipped diagnosis. A technical audit that finds nothing is a cheap month. A content plan built on an unexamined site is an expensive year.
Which number you will be judged on. Traffic growth on a site that already ranks for its own brand name is mostly brand demand rebadged as SEO. Ask for the metric to be enquiries, qualified leads, or revenue, and ask what happens to the engagement if it does not move.
Who is doing the work. In KL specifically, agency headcount and delivery headcount often differ. Ask which named person writes the audit and which one writes the copy.
What the lock-in is. Twelve-month contracts are common here and are usually defended on the grounds that SEO takes time. SEO does take time. That is an argument for patience, not for a penalty clause.
We charge from RM2,000/month with no lock-in, we open every engagement with the AI SEO Readiness Audit, and the audit findings are yours whether or not you continue. If a different KL agency is a better fit for your situation, that shows up in the audit too.

How Mackyclyde Turns Search Visibility Into Predictable Revenue: The Revenue SEO System
Most clients see meaningful organic traffic movement within 30 to 90 days of implementation. Revenue-level outcomes — qualified leads, inbound enquiries, pipeline contribution, typically emerge between months 3 and 5.
Full technical audit covering crawl efficiency ratio, Core Web Vitals per page type, indexation conflicts, log file analysis, canonical chain validation, hreflang configuration, and internal link equity distribution. Delivered as a written prioritised brief with clear rationale for each fix. The audit includes a competitive read of the KL SERP for your terms specifically, because the agency-saturated result pages in this market behave differently from national ones.
Keyword research anchored to commercial intent, not volume. We map search demand to your revenue opportunities, build a topical cluster architecture, and produce a 90-day execution roadmap with expected traffic and lead impact estimates for each action.
Technical fixes are deployed first to remove ranking suppression before content and authority work begins. Content production, GBP optimisation, citation cleanup, and link acquisition run in priority order — not all at once. You receive regular progress updates, not just monthly reports.
Every month we attribute ranking changes, traffic shifts, and lead volume changes to specific actions. We report what worked, what did not, and what we are adjusting. You always know where your budget went and what it produced.
What you get: Full transparency, every month. No black box, no vanishing acts.

Frequently asked questions
Mackyclyde SEO retainers start at RM2,000/month with no lock-in contract. Across the KL market, most agency retainers fall between RM2,000 and RM10,000/month, with project-based audits priced separately. Scope drives the number, not location.
Yes. We are based in Bangsar and work across Malaysia and Singapore. Klang Valley clients outside KL are covered on our Selangor page, and northern-region clients on our Penang page.
Local Pack visibility depends on a verified Google Business Profile with a real address in the area you want to rank in, plus proximity to the searcher. We work on Google Business Profile optimisation as part of local SEO, but no agency can produce Map Pack placement for an address that does not exist. Organic results in geo-qualified searches are a different and more open target.
Technical fixes can move things within weeks. Competitive commercial terms in the KL market usually take four to nine months to show meaningful position change, and longer if the site is new or has migration damage. We do not sell guaranteed rankings, because nobody honest does.
A 47-checkpoint technical review that opens every engagement. It covers crawlability, rendering, schema and entity consistency, content extractability, and whether AI crawlers can access your pages. The findings are yours whether or not you continue with us.
Yes. We work in English and Bahasa Melayu. Bahasa Melayu content strategy sits with Ang Zheng Yen, co-founder and Lead SEO Strategist.
